Every year, thousands of French students start a project between two classes. Most stay invisible: no network to find a cofounder, no way to reach investors this early. FSBuilds puts every idea, project and startup in one place, school after school, so they can finally be found.

Publisher
The FSBuilds website (fsbuilds, "French Students Builds") is a personal, non-commercial project, published by private individuals acting on a non-professional basis (see the credits in the footer: William Tchen and Achille Gaubert). FSBuilds is not a company or an association. In accordance with article 1-1 II of the LCEN, the publishers have chosen not to publish their postal address and have given their identity and contact details to the hosting providers listed below.

Intellectual property
The design, texts and code of FSBuilds are protected by intellectual property law. Content posted by users remains theirs; see the Terms of use for the licence they grant to FSBuilds.
Reporting illegal or inappropriate content
Every listing and profile has a "Report" button. You can also write to [email protected] with the address of the content, the reason, and your identity. We review reports promptly and remove content that is manifestly unlawful.
Liability
FSBuilds publishes information provided by its users and does not check its accuracy. FSBuilds gives no investment, legal or financial advice and is not a financial intermediary. Links to external websites (for example LinkedIn) are provided for convenience; FSBuilds is not responsible for their content.
Applicable law
This website is governed by French law. In case of dispute, French courts have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.

These terms apply to your use of FSBuilds, a free platform where French students present their ideas, projects and startups, and find cofounders and investors. By creating an account or using the site you accept them.
1. Who can use FSBuilds
You must be at least 16 years old and be a student or a recent graduate of a school or university. To create an account you need a student email address. Personal email addresses (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and similar) are not accepted. You must give accurate information and keep your password confidential. One person, one account.
2. Accounts and profiles
Your profile (name, school, graduation year, LinkedIn link and optional description) is visible to other logged-in members. Your email address is never shown publicly. You can edit your profile, download your data or delete your account at any time from your profile page.
3. Posting a startup
Every submission is reviewed manually before it is published. We may refuse, edit or remove a listing at our discretion, in particular if it is inaccurate, duplicated, misleading, unlawful or unrelated to student entrepreneurship. Before submitting, check that your startup is not already listed. You confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to publish it.
If you add other founders, you confirm that they know about it and agree to appear on the listing. Their email address, if you provide it, is never displayed: it is used only to link the listing to their account if they sign up. Any founder can ask us to remove their details at [email protected].
4. Content rules
You must not post content that is unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory, misleading, infringes someone's rights, contains personal data of others without their agreement, or is spam or advertising unrelated to the platform. You must not collect data from FSBuilds by automated means, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
5. Licence on your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant FSBuilds a free, non-exclusive licence to host, display and reproduce it on the platform for as long as it is published, so that the service can work.
6. Contacts and investments
FSBuilds only puts people in touch. Conversations, agreements and investments happen outside the platform and are your own responsibility. FSBuilds is not a broker, an investment adviser or a crowdfunding platform, does not receive money for any transaction and does not check the identity or claims of users beyond the student email. Be careful, and never send money to someone you have not verified.
7. Reports and moderation
Any user can report a listing or a profile with the "Report" button. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these terms, with or without notice in serious cases.
8. Availability and liability
The service is provided "as is", free of charge, without guarantee of availability. To the extent permitted by law, FSBuilds is not liable for indirect damages, for the content of users, or for the outcome of contacts made through the platform.
9. Personal data
Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use FSBuilds after a change means you accept it.
11. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. As FSBuilds is free and sells nothing, general terms of sale do not apply. For any question, write to [email protected].

What is visible to others
Public: approved listings, with each founder's name, school, graduation year and LinkedIn link. Visible to logged-in members: member profiles (name, school, graduation year, LinkedIn link, description). Never public: email addresses. They can only be read by you, and by FSBuilds administrators for moderation and account support.
Founders added by someone else
A member can add other founders to a listing. If your name appears on a listing and you did not agree to it, write to us and we will remove it. We do not use founder emails for anything other than linking a listing to your account if you sign up with the same address.
How long we keep it
Account and profile: until you delete your account, or until 3 years after your last activity. Published listings: as long as they are online or until you or the founders ask for removal. Rejected submissions and closed reports: up to 12 months. Technical logs: up to 12 months.
Who receives your data
We use these service providers (processors) to run the site: Supabase, Inc. (database and accounts, Paris region, France), Cloudflare, Inc. (website delivery and anti-spam protection). A transactional email provider (Resend or Brevo) will be added to this list when email sending is enabled.. They only process data on our instructions. Some providers are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data and do not show advertising.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your data, and receive a copy of it. Most of this is self-service: on your profile page, use "Edit profile", "Download my data" and "Delete my account". You can also write to [email protected]; we answer within one month. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Cookies and similar technologies
FSBuilds does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across sites. It only stores what is strictly necessary in your browser: the session that keeps you logged in (local storage). These do not require consent. Our anti-spam tool (Cloudflare Turnstile), used on sign-up and log-in forms, may set technical cookies to distinguish humans from bots. If we add audience measurement later, we will use a tool exempt from consent and update this page.
Security
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), database access is restricted by row-level security rules, and administrator access is limited to the team. No system is perfectly secure: in case of a data breach likely to affect you, we will inform you and the CNIL as required by law.
Minors
FSBuilds is for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a younger person has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy and will show the date above.
